Meet Dr. Pamela
SURVIVING AND THRIVING AFTER THE KIDS ARE GONE
I am Dr. Pamela Hampton-Garland; I am excited that you are here today. As a member of the Mid-Career, 45-65 year old group, Mid-Life Group, Prime Time Group, and all of the names I choose to accept I experienced some of the most common experiences for people, especially women entering this phase of life. I felt like my children abandoned me, I was lonely, no one needed me, my work was no longer fulfilling and I did not know who I was outside of "mommy". You see my identity had been wrapped up into my husband, my children, and my works understanding of who I was, but I had not defined myself to myself. Therefore, when they went off to college and later to live in other states and secured their identities successfully, I was lost. I did not feel needed and so my work was no longer helping my family be amazing.

However, after a few years of people suggesting I volunteer, join book clubs, get therapy, or find a new hobby, I finally just decided to take things into my own hands. Becoming an empty nester was not the only issue, so I did a deep dive and re-framed the 3rd chapter of my life with a new narrative. I am now a very happy PAMELA that enjoys my little granddaughter. My children are still amazing and that is in large part because of me. My marriage of 29 years that became really shaky during that time is solid as a rock, and my sexy is on and popping.
So, if you want to make the 3rd Chapter of your life amazing you have come to the right place. As a trained and Certified Gallup Strengths Coach, Life Coach, Academic Coach, Executive Coach, and Scholar I am prepared to create your personal plan and guide you along your path toward holistic balance as an empty nester.
